Memglow 1.4 is rolling out on the App Store today, and it's the release where the app grows a new sense. Until now, Memglow remembered people. As of 1.4, it also notices how you're doing at keeping up with them.

Every relationship, with a temperature

The headline of 1.4 is relationship health. Every contact now carries a simple read on where things stand, right on your Contacts list: Warm, Cooling, Quiet, or Building, one word and one color per person. You can take in the state of your whole network in a single scroll, and catch the ones that are slipping before it gets awkward.

Open a contact and the read explains itself in plain language, something like "You usually check in with Olivia every week. It's been 41 days." That sentence, and the band, are on every plan. Pro goes deeper, adding the numeric score, a 90 day trend line, and the factors behind it. There's a full walkthrough in relationship health, at a glance.

On Pro, the health read opens into a score, a trend, and the reasons behind it.

Your week, looking back

The second big addition is the relationship digest, the one part of the app that looks backward. It recaps the stretch you just had, how many memories you captured and who they were about, then shows a "Cooled off" list of the people whose health slipped since last time, and points you at what's coming up. Core gets it monthly, Pro gets it weekly, and you can have the same recap delivered by email. More in your week in Memglow.

Find who's slipping

Health isn't only a label to glance at. Search now filters by band, so "who have I been neglecting in Business?" becomes a two tap answer: tap Quiet, tap a category, done. The people who quietly drifted are suddenly the easiest ones to pull up.

Built on timing, not on reading

One thing I want to be clear about, because a score on your relationships deserves it: the health read is Memglow's own proprietary algorithm, computed entirely from timing: the dates on your own notes and follow ups. It never reads the content of what you captured, and no algorithm is quietly grading your friendships. I wrote about exactly what a health score knows, and what it deliberately doesn't.

Update to 1.4 on the App Store, and if the app surfaces someone you're glad it did, I'd love to hear about it: support@memglow.ai. Memglow used to help you remember people. Now it helps you keep them.
